One of our favorite whitewater rafting trips at our Buena Vista location is the Gauntlet, and pairing that with a rappel to kick off this thrilling adventure makes for a great day. Meeting at our Buena Vista outpost in the morning and get all geared up for an epic rappel down the rock face to the rafting put-in. After you touch ground you’ll throw on a wetsuit to take on the advanced rapids of the Arkansas River. Your crew will start off paddling through the thrilling Class V water of Pine Creek then navigate the Class IV rapids called The Numbers. You’ll even get to indulge in a much-needed chicken fajita lunch made by your guides after you conclude your activities.

3. A Thrilling Via Ferrata Tour
One of AVA’s newest adventures that we first introduced last summer takes ziplining to the next level – our Via Ferrata tours. This excursion incorporates ziplining with some assisted rock climbing, traversing along iron rungs in the cliffside, rappelling down a massive rock face, and even a free fall jump. The Mount Evans Via Ferrata is located just west of the Denver area and yields breathtaking views of the Continental Divide and historic mountain town of Idaho Springs. On the other hand, AVA’s Granite Via Ferrata is ready to venture out on this summer and will have you on the edge of your seat… literally.

4. A Float Down the Mighty Colorado River
