One of the most precious natural resources worldwide is water. The millions of miles of rivers in this country provide us with the drinking water and food that we need to survive, as well as countless recreational opportunities to keep us thoroughly entertained. To honor this amazing resource each year June is recognized as National River Month. What better way to celebrate our National River System than spending the day on the river?

Here at AVA Colorado Rafting we have a ton of options to get you out on the river. Our Kremmling Outpost is a great option for families with small children. Our Upper Colorado River Float trips primarily consist of calm water with a few small rapids here and there. This unique stretch of river has natural hot springs and cliff jumping for the adventurous family members! If you are new to rafting but looking for something more exciting, our Granite and Idaho Springs locations have beginner, intermediate, and advanced white water rafting trips.

Rivers Month

Our Gold Rush trip is a perfect introduction to white water rafting. It’s a short, but action packed class III beginner white water trip. If you are looking for more time on the water, our Granite Outpost has some great trips as well. Our Browns Canyon trip is a great class III beginner trip, that can be done as a half day or a full day trip. Browns Canyon is one of the nation’s favorite stretches of whitewater. With some exhilarating whitewater and a beautiful granite canyon, it is easy to see why. Both Granite and Idaho Springs have some excellent intermediate and advanced trips as well.

Our intermediate trips will definitely get your adrenaline flowing! These trips are great for thrill seeking athletic beginners or experienced rafters. Adventurous souls will be thrilled with longer stretches of whitewater, narrower stretches of river, and more obstacles to maneuver around. For extreme individuals Granite and Idaho Springs has some gut wrenching class V advanced white water. These trips will have the most continuous sections of whitewater, narrowest stretches of river, and most obstacles, perfect for those hardcore adrenaline junkies out there!

Rivers Month
